in case you're wondering, clementine is dressed up as Paprika from the movie of the same name. if you haven't yet seen that movie, you should do it as soon as possible. it is very good. also, it's insane.

on a somewhat related note, i may be watching My Neighbor Totoro tonite! i'm super pumped!

this comic is dedicated to Tom O'brien. he's super cool and for his senior assembly him and some friends sang "Love Me Dead," originally by Ludo. this comic is dedicated to him because the two of use were talking about potential Labyrinth-based band names just like two days ago, and i suggested "The Bog of Eternal Stench." it was great.

also, today [sunday] i watched the movies Bottle Rocket [by Wes Anderson] and Josie and the Pussycats [which is amazing]. it's been great. they are both wonderful movies. if you haven't seen them yet, you definitely should.

oh, and just so you know, i really like how elliott's face looks in frame one, even though his cheeks are kind of weird.

i recently played [and dominated!] Pokemon Yellow. it was great. this is mortimer, he's my Dragonite. basically, he's the coolest pokemon ever. he knows thunder, fireblast, blizzard and hyper beam. nobody stands a chance against him.

i'll have a new comic up tomorrow.

one: if you want to see a crazy movie about vikings and aliens and Jesus and Hellboy and Ollivander and a vampire, you should look up Outlander. also, it is very very very very very heavily based on Beowulf. it's a crazy movie. and one of the main viking characters in it looks a lot like the guy who plays Faramir in the Lord of the Rings movies.

two: there are like a million spiders in my house right now, and i'm not a fan. there was one on the tv screen before, and there was one on the lampshade [that one was kind of really big] and there was a little one dangling above the couch. i don't like spiders, they creep me out. actually, all bugs in general creep me out. ugh.

three: i'm thinking about reading some of Tove Jannson's Moomin books this year, but i don't know where i can find a copy of Comet in Moominland, which seems like the coolest one ever. back before i really read any books i checked it out from the MPL to look at the cool illustrations, and now that i actually want to read it, they don't have that book anymore. they just have like three others. and the L-Port doesn't have any, which is super lame, 'cause the L-Port is a lot closer to my house than the MPL so it's easier for me to go to. oh, and in case you don't know, th Moomin books are children's books about trolls. they're super awesome. i read like two of them when i was younger, but i want to read them again, because they're really weird and cool.

four: clem kinda looks like a horse in this one, i don't know how that happened. also, you may notice that i used a lot of copy and paste on this comic, but you might not notice it, it dunno. i dunno how attentive you guys are to the drawings in my comics. whatever.

five: i found out tonite that my friend miriam's birthday is on the same day that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince gets into theatres. she's so lucky.

goodnite, i'm going to bed.

i've been playing Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind a lot lately. i have the "Game of the Year Edition," so it has the Tribunal and Bloodmoon. it's really fun, but i'm not really very good at it. i die and have to load my game a lot. i think i'm going to play it some more once i'm done posting this.

anyways, this is basically what my character looks like. it's pretty awesome.

here's sketches of clem, with height estimations of elliott, daniel, nick and ryan. i had trouble drawing everyone's arms and hands, as i point out. this is the second version of clem that i designed, the first of which i probably won't share with you any time soon. it wasn't as good as i'd like it to be, that's why i redesigned her.

also, i'm trying to write a graphic novel [which is completely unrelated to my webcomic] and i'll maybe post that on here when i get more of it done. how do you guys feel about that? it's in pen and written on lined notebook paper, so it's not the neatest thing ever, and i'm not always all that good at drawing, but i really like it and i've already shown some people [like matt and mikki and maybe jersica?] and i just wanted to know what you guys think about me posting that here.

thanks for reading!

this is number 31! also, as a sidenote, i recently realised that i had a sketch of elliott that i never posted, so i'll probably be posting that soon.

this is inspired by a true story.

also, here's a similar true story. once, i was looking in the newspaper classified ads, and one ad in the pets/pet supplies section said this:

NEED A CHAMPANION?
2 Year-Old Parrot with Cage
$300 Call 555-1807

i'm not a hundred percent sure what a "champanion" is, but i'm pretty sure i do need one.

also, i just finished Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince last nite, and it was sooo good. i'm so pumped for the movie coming out in 75ish days. i'm so glad to be a Harry Potter fan now, i was so stupid not having been one when i was younger. oh man, Harry Potter is so good. unfortunately, my wand broke in a recent encounter with a Crumple-Horned Snorkack, and i need a new one...

this is number 30!

i have something to say. i just saw X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and i think there needed to be a LOT more of Ryan Reynolds.
