dude, Brian Jacques provided me with a large amount of good memories during my childhood, and i am very thankful. i know this is a little late, but here it is.

also, here's the video (again) for my song "Cornflower Fieldmouse" that i wrote the last time i was reading through Redwall.

i'm so excited for the new Pokemon games. Pokemon is so great, seriously. here's a list of the Pokemon games i own, with the systems they're for:
-Pokemon Blue (Gameboy)
-Pokemon Yellow (Gameboy)
-Pokemon Trading Card Game: The Video Game (Gameboy)
-Pokemon Stadium (N64)
-Pokemon Snap (N64)
-Pokemon Stadium 2 (N64)
-Pokemon LeafGreen (Gameboy Advance)
-Pokemon SoulSilver (Nintendo DS)
and, the one i forgot to count when i wrote this comic,
-Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky (Nintendo DS)

also, if you play Pokemon, remember that starting today and going until the 6th of March (when Black and White versions come out) you can go to Gamestop (or i think EB Games in Canada) and download a Celebi to your Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold and SoulSilver games. in HG and SS, it'll supposedly unlock a special event if you bring it to Ilex Forest, and in Black and White if you transfer it over once they come out, it'll unlock a special event allowing you to catch either Zorua or Zoroark, i don't remember. i think Zorua. for more info, here's the Pokemon website!

and another thing: i'm currently doing the Nuzlocke Challenge (be careful clicking that link- it explains what the Nuzlocke Challenge is and introduces the original Nuzlocke comic, but there's at least one swear) in my copy of Pokemon: LeafGreen, and it's going pretty great. i just caught a Geodude who i name Sophie, and we're gonna dominate. she's gonna add some much-needed diversity to my team, and i'm excited. EDIT: i feel terrible about this, because normally i have such a connection to my Pokemon, but my Geodude is actually Bernadette. Sophie is my recently acquired Spearow.

anyways, i'm thinking of doing a comic of it, as is tradition for many people who do it, so be looking forward to that if you like my comics and you like Pokemon.

and, to go out on, here's the original Pokemon theme song.

it's true, there's two very interesting concerts that i'd love to go to in the next little while. first, Max Bemis from my favourite band of all time, Say Anything, has been doing an acoustic tour. rumour has it he's been playing old songs that he never/rarely plays anymore, and he's selling a new Max Bemis and the Painful Splits cd, and i really wish i could go. i've got family in LA, and there's a show at the Troubador (though i'm pretty sure it's now sold out) on the 25th, so i was hoping to go, but i won't be able to. if you read this comic and you happen to be going to one of Max's show on this tour, could you please buy me a copy of the new Painful Splits cd and i'll pay you back, either in money form or comics form or something?

also, the cool band Gold Motel is on tour with Hellogoodbye and Jukebox the Ghost, and it'd be way cool to see them, but their closest tour stop is on a tuesday, as stated in the comic above, so that makes it difficult.

oh, and about this comic: i've narrowed the location of the city they live in a little more! before this, i'd said they don't live in Oregon, and i once said that some characters "went out of town" to go shopping, but now i've said that they're not in SLC or LA, either. i probably wouldn't have said anything about SLC if i hadn't also been mentioning LA, because then it would've pointed out the driving distance to Salt Lake.

anyways, here's the video for one of my favourite Gold Motel songs. if you like it, maybe you can look at their tour dates here

if ever i have pet Rhodesian Ridgeback, i am going to name him Norbert, for sure.

also, happy Valentine's Day! originally, i was planning on posting a Valentine's Day-related comic, but i was watching the dog show (as this comic states) and there was a Rhodesian Ridgeback. i remembered actually making this mistake in the past, so i figured it'd be great material for today's comic.

seriously, while re-watching the show Outlaw Star on my new dvds, the first time both Harry and Ron MacDougall's names were said, i was like, "HARRY AND RON!" it was incredible.

also, my webcomic was mentioned on the awesome webcomicing podcast, The Webcomic Beacon because i reached 200 posts and 2 years! awesome! i've been listening to them for a while, since Erika Moen from Dar! was on, and they talk a lot about a lot of webcomics and webcomicing skills, so it's pretty cool. if you're thinking of writing a webcomic, i'd probably give them a listen. they do kind of swear sometimes, and they talk about naked people and adult comics, so if you're offended by that kind of stuff, you may not want to listen, but it's a pretty good podcast, i think.

it's true, and it's amazing.

it's called Kota the Triceratops, and it's like the size of a small pony. i want to be friends with it so bad.

back in december or something, my mom was watching the live action Speed Racer movie (which, just so you know, is amazing) and i realised that Spritle's name probably wasn't Spritle in the original Japanese. so, i looked it up, and sure enough, they made up a word for his name. i guess they wanted it to be like "sprite" because he's silly and wispy and does what he pleases, but still. Spritle? it's a good name, but it's very odd.
