Christmas! Christmas! Christmas Special! here's the first two pages of the Christmas Special! i'll hopefully be posting the next two pages really soon. also, i'm sorry that the comics look all grey and diagonal and whatnot. i didn't have access to a scanner, so i had to take photos, and they didn't turn out the best. hopefully the next ones will be better. thanks for reading, and i hope you enjoy it!

one: it's almost Christmas, and i'm so excited!
two: just so you know, a very wonderful thing will be happening at the First Baptist Church Pocatello on December 19th. i'f you're in pocatello then, you should go there at about 7 pm, and you should bring some canned food to donate and you should come ready for a good and musical time! Lunch in the Park Live at the North Pole will be starting around seven, and you'll be able to listen to some awesome music, some of which will be about nerdy things like glasses, and some of which will be about Christmas and the baby Jesus! fun will be had by all! also, it's free, so you don't have to pay to get in, and we will be giving a cool prize to the person who brings in the most canned food! it's a Christmas concert/food drive/awesomeness extravaganza! please come if you can!

this comic is entitled: i will never ever try to draw a car again ever.
also, i was originally going to post this comic yesterday, but i didn't use the internet very much yesterday and i totally forgot. so i'm going to post two comics today, because this second one has been scheduled for today for a while, and it has to be posted on a thursday when there's Fringe, and i don't want to wait a week to post it, because then i'll get way behind on my schedule.
so, here you go.
and again, i really don't like how this new scanner is scanning my comics. i'm going to have to do something about it.

see, elliott's totally not wearing his vest in this one. i finished this one and the next one like a week after i finished the last one, and i forgot that i had already drawn elliott's clothes at the rock show as something other than a JONAS shirt [which, by the way, would be completely awesome to own].
also, the band in this comic was kind of almost named after the third Scott Pilgrim book, which everyone should read. well, everyone should read all of the Scott Pilgrim books, but the third one is really the only one that's relevant to this comic.

that's supposed to be a boy scouts of america shirt that hubble is wearing, but i'm not good at drawing boy scout of america shirts, as it turns out. also, this comic is entitled "elliott doesn't like hubble, and hubble doesn't like elliott either."
also, everyone should listen to Clyde Webb because he is one of the awesomest guys ever. his music is so amazing and he so perfectly captures emotion in his songs. it's wonderful and i love it.

one: if you haven't ever read any of the moomintroll books by Tove Jansson, i really really really recommend it. they're fantastic. also, they're children's books, so they're really quick reads.
two: i really like this comic, because first of all, elliott's drawing of the Snork Maiden is completely awful, and secondably, clem's face in the very last frame is wonderful.
three: in case you haven't yet noticed, this comic is longer than usual! i've decided that i'm going to try doing a few long comics every once in a while, because they're fun.
four: all things Moomin are copyright Tove Jansson.
five: there once was a tv show called "Moomin" in 1990 or so, and it was the most ridiculously amazing thing ever, probably. if ever you feel like purchasing dvds of it, you should buy them for me, because then i will love you forever.

one: elliott's paws in frame 2 are gigantic. two: the first time i drew elliott in frame 3, he turned out awful, but i had inked it, so i drew his face again and drew that arrow so i would remember where to paste the new drawing. three: i really don't know what happened to elliott's face in the first frame.

i'm really sorry for the lack of updates these days. i've been really busy with making halloween costumes for me and my friends. also, i've had limited internet access. but, here's a couple comics.
me and a bunch of friends [me, matt, michaelmartin, aminda, ayla and maybe richelle] are going as cats. also, in real life, it's my brother who is being a cat from Sailor Moon. also, i seriously recommend that everyone see the movie The Cat Returns. it's great. and i really am going as Baron. i still have to make my ears and a vest, though. i'm not so pumped for the vest, 'cause i've never made one before, but i'm gonna make that tonite.
and here is all the characters in their halloween costumes!
also, i REALLY like Nick as Simba and Dan as Bucky. it's tricky dressing up anthropomorphic dogs as cats, just so you know.

here's something. i did not invent that pound exchange. some people have guessed that in the past, and i have no idea why. i learned it from Josh Williams, who, for your information, is pretty awesome. also i was in math class and art club with him in high school. and some would say that you could pretty accurately call art club "nightmare before christmas fan club," and i would, for the most part, agree. also i recently wrote a song about dungeons and dragons in which i talk about events that he was involved with. it's awesome.

here's some sketches i drew at church one morning when i was planning my elliott/leon drawing that i already posted. elliott's head is kind of giant. also, i was pretty early in the game at this point, and i had only ever seen ne of the guys with the chain saw and the bag on his head, and he totally freaked me out. those guys are awful.

i've been playing a lot of Resident Evil lately. also, the only two Resident Evil games i own so far are 2 and 4, which are both starring Leon S. Kennedy [well, RE2 is also starring Claire Redfield, but Leon's a main character, too]. also, i own [but have not yet watched] the movie Resident Evil: Degeneration, which also has Leon Kennedy as a main character. so basically, i'm a big fan of Leon Kennedy. he's a cool guy.
oh, and another thing: the guy who's rumoured to be cast as Leon Kennedy in the upcoming live action RE movie has been in wonderful television shows, such as: Supernatural, Wishbone, Seventh Heaven, Smallville, Dawson's Creek and James Cameron's Dark Angle. also, he was in the recent film My Bloody Valentine. rock n roll.

in that first frame, Ainsley looks like she's really mad or maybe evil or something. i dunno. when i drew it in pencil first, she didn't look likethat, but i guess she really didn't like it when i went over it in pen.
also, i have a Daniel Johnston record [Yip/Jump Music] and cassette tape [Frankenstein Love] coming in the mail for me soon. i want them to hurry up and get here already.
oh, and another thing: i totally would preorder the new Say Anything album, deluxe edition, but it's way hecka expensive. i mean, 89 dollars? come on. that's a little much. i'm still probably going to preorder the album, though, but not the deluxe edition. and if it's really good and i can find a copy at Hot Topic, i'll probably buy the vinyl of it eventually.

here's something: clem's arms in this comic are super uper duper long. it's crazy.
also, Harry Potter movie marathons at the movie theatre are amazing. and i definitely have to recommend seeing the new Harry Potter movie if you haven't already [or even if you have]. it's amazing.

tomorrow is the Harry Potter movie marathon at the theatre, ending with the premiere of Half-Blood Prince. i'm sooo pumped. me and matt have our outfits picked out, we've got beautiful wands, the bottles of pellegrino are in the fridge, and our tickets are bought. it's gonna be amazing.
also, i was recently mentioned [twice!] on the super awesome blog Geek Orthodox for sending in photographs of the book The Way of the Tiger: Warbringer! so, mad props to Mr. Reis O'Brien for giving me a shoutout!

look! it's The Remus Lupins! and they're singing the very wonderful song "Wizard Rock Twist!" you can listen to some of their music at http://www.myspace.com/theremuslupins! they're a very talented and amazing band! also, they are currently touring with The Whomping Willows and Pottercast!
also, my brother and i were totally going to see them when they were in Salt Lake City last nite, but that didn't work out, and we're totally bummed.

one: i really like this one. it turned out exactly how i imagined it when i was first planning it.
two: i'm not really a hundred percent sure that i'll be able to go the the Pottercast/wrock concert in the lake on wednesday. i'm super bummed.
three: Harry Potter fans, remember. there is a HP movie marathon at the Pine Ridge 10 on tuesday, July 14th, and you should all go. i will be there, and my brother will be there, and we'll be dressing up, and it'll be amazing.
this is number 49. i'm almost at the 50 post mark! also, the comic's 6 month anniversary is only like 20 days away or something! woo!

i have three words to say: Harry Potter forever.
so, good news. the sixth Harry Potter movie [Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince] is getting into theatres on July 15th, which is like 15 days away. rock and roll.
better news: the local movie theatre, the Pine Ridge 10, is having a Harry Potter movie marathon on the 14th. it starts at 9 in the morning, and there's a 45 minute break after Chamber of Secrets and another one after Goblet of Fire. this all leads up to the premier of the new movie, which is gonna be awesome. and even better, the entire thing [all six movies] costs only $23.50. how great is that? me and matt are gonna dress up for it and it'll be great. you should all come, too, if you can.
also, there really is a wizard rock concert coming up in like a week that i'm hoping to go to. it's not just a concert, though. the Pottercast tour is stopping in Salt Lake City on July 8th, scheduled to have The Remus Lupins and the Whomping Willows with them. it's gonna be so fantastic.
one last thing: i very recently got back from the first baptist church youth group's trip to DCLA in California, and it was awesome. our youth were greatly inspired and touch, and us leaders learned and experienced a lot. i recommend going if you get the chance.

sometimes, i have to purposely not listen to any music by Elliott Smith because if i start, i won't be able to listen to anything else. he's amazing. i'm planning on getting at least one Elliott Smith record in the near future [i mean one more than i already have. i got his self-titled album for Christmas last year].
there'll be a new comic on thursday, and then i'll be on a short hiatus while i'm off at DCLA with the First Baptist Church youth group. also, good news for all you cool people out there. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is coming out in a movie theatre near you in only like 28 days. good deal. Harry Potter forever.

this last thursday really was a full moon, in case you're wondering.
also, just so you know, today i put up two new songs on my band's myspace [http://ww.myspace.com/sleevesonsunburns]. i would absolutely love it if you listened to them.
and another thing: my brother's band, Rebel the Fox, will be having a concert at the Gateway Theatre on Saturday, June 20th at 7ish. you should come, it'll be great.

based on a true story, except in the true story we had gone to a wedding then to a movie, not to a rock show. also, matt, mikki, samlyle and jersica were there. and we had some ANZAC biscuits. they were pretty good. also, that was a big adventure and an interesting day, for sure.
oh! and another thing. i don't think PowerSprite had been invented yet when we had that adventure. in case you're wondering, PowerSprite is half Sprite, half blue Powerade. it's amazing and you should all try it.
also, i didn't have work today, and today has been very relaxing. it's been nice.
